Day 23- Write a seven line poem that begins with “it’s true that fresh air is good for the body” (from Frank O’Hara’s poem “Ave Maria”) and ends with “this is our body” (from Gary Snyder’s “The Bath”).
It’s true that fresh air is good for the body, reviving the essence,
Beautiful in its presence.
But everything good can also be bad.
A great substance becomes sad.
Under a powerful existence become mad.
Intense material running through my veins.
Lifting me up yet dragging me down, making me sane but giving me pain.
Your severeness is suffocating, like a wild love, breaking yet empowering.
Crushing under your mighty wing.
Forever need you, because this is our body.
