In the face of adversity is where a stand,
destruction comes to my land.
The wind pushes me around,
you are nowhere to be found.
I struggle to stay clear of the rubble in the air,
this isn’t right, this isn’t fair.
When did life become a hurricane?
When did I get accustomed to so much pain?
Now it all seems in vain.
Got used to living in the eye of the hurricane,
when the peacefulness would also pass.
So naive to think it would always last.
It all went by so fast.
But the storm returns,
and once again it’s my turn.
To let in all the pain and the doubts,
no one hears my shouts.
How did this reality come to be?
It’s just you, it’s just me.
Want to be set free.
But the storm continues,
destroys everything in its path.
How much more can I last?
