Day 10
Today’s prompt comes to us from Lillian Hallberg. She challenges us to write a “book spine” poem. This involves taking a look at your bookshelves and writing down titles in order (or rearranging the titles) to create a poem.
I have to say I enjoyed this very much, who knew my books had so much to tell 😀
The truth; we are consumed by the death instinct.
By the fault in our stars that live at night.
Why I fight; to gain a safe harbor; in the infinite sea.
Where everything including life is carefree.
Where everything is at it’s best degree.
And all that matters is you and me.
A place to be set free.
A point in time where everything is as it should be.
Where the galaxies align and become one;
guided by the best sun.
A place where misery is overrun by the feeling of joy.
And everything is easy to enjoy.
We are consumed by the instinct of death;
but in reality, it isn’t a threat to what we seek.
Death will always be at our feet,
and still the same; death will taste defeat.

I don’t consider myself much of a poet, but I thank you for the encouragement! I prefer to follow artists such as yourself who are much better poets than myself 🙂

Thank you for the kind words. But you don’t necesarily have to make it into a poem, just spill your thoughts. Express yourself 😁
