Day 20
Today I challenge you to write a poem in the voice of a minor character from a fairy tale or myth. Instead of writing from the point of view of Cinderella, write from the point of view of the mouse who got turned into a coachman. Instead of writing from the point of view of Orpheus or Eurydice, write from the point of view of one of the shades in Hades who watched Eurydice leave and then come back. Happy writing!
This girl is such a rebel, this girl is crazy and I’m supposed to help.
But she is protecting her father and I have to say that it’s admirable.
She decides to go into a war and I’m just supposed to help, crazy little girl, crazy little woman.
What if she get’s killed? What of her father then?
No future kin to sustain the family name and it could bring so much shame.
The things humans do for love, even question the Gods.
This girl is such a rebel, but I admire her as well.
