Day 4
Today’s challenge was a little too much for me, however, when they mentioned talking about justice in the challenge, I thought that was something I might be up for.

It’s funny how you and I stem from the same ground,
how you and I were both made and bound.
In different places, in different moments, yet still in the same generation.
You and I grew from nothing into something.
We fought for what we have, we worked hard to be where we are at.
But you fought just a little less harder, you had to go just through a little fewer disasters.
Because even though you and I were born on the same day and age, we don’t have the same race.
Or we don’t express ourselves the same face to face.
We both work hard to get ahead, but I never had a parent who took the first step.
No one knows who I am; no one knows who my parents are and were, no one cares if we get heard.
Sure we both work hard, sure we both fight for what we want,
Yet the truth is we both know from the beginning you had a head start.
But unlike you, I don’t need the help of my forefathers to be set apart.
