“You’re beautiful” he whispered.

I’m still looking for that beauty in the mirror.

All I see in my face is terror.

Don’t want to fill myself with joy.

Just to be used like a toy.

Broken by another boy.

These children trying to act like men.

Can’t even last till ten.

Disqualified in the first round.

No good one to found.

Strings being wound.

Nothing seems profound.

He stares at my complexion.

Total appreciation.

“Why have a misconception?”

Good question the poor fellow would ask.

That’s what happens when your life is a deception.

Get used to receiving bad intentions.

Such an imperfection.

Prepared for a life of disconnection.
