Soul Demolisher

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Was his constant ability to irk me,

Or maybe how I felt he always wanted to fuck me.

Not in the way one would like, in a way that would detroy my life.

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Was the pain he caused with his silence, feigning it was plain old ignorance.

Or maybe how I felt when he wasnt by me, how everything but me was carefree.

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Was that he expected me,to be more for him than for me.

Or maybe that I could no longer be as free.

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Is that my love was not enough for him, no matter what I did I could never win.

Or maybe it was the emptyness I felt every

time he left, my heart felt no greater death.

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Is that Im still waiting for him to show,

Or maybe that I know it’s all a false hope.

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Was the longer I waited the more lost I felt, or maybe it was how I questioned the cards that I was dealt.

The only thing that is wrong with the one that I was trying to get to know.

Is that he is no longer next to me, so maybe…there is no point of being free.

The Prisoner

There’s yesterdays, and there’s todays.

Easy forevers and please just stay.

Hearts wanting to be complete,

Running away from the defeats.

Happiness wrapped around metal shards,

cupids shooting poisened darts.

There’s today; there’s always today.

While yesterdays pass by,

Somany questions remain that start with why?

There’s yesterdays and todays;

the yesterdays fade away,

but the todays always stay.

Lost

So close, yet far away.

Miles of pain.

A world so plain.

Starting to go insane.

So much hope, yet in vain.

Going around the foolish circle again.

Always remember what was then.

Can’t seem to domain.

Need to detain.

Our closed partnership,

Now an open chain.

Day 6 – No Mans Land

Day 6

Write a poem of any length incorporating every word from your latest Facebook status.

You are a brick tied to me that’s dragging me down. Strike a match and I’ll burn you to the ground. The war is won. Before it’s begun. Release the doves.Surrender love. (Wave the white flag!)- Fall Out Boy

**My last Facebook posts have been poems from this blog, so I picked the first status that was not a poem.**

I’ll wave the flag, I’m calling a truce.

Don’t keep dragging me to the ground, it’s white, boy, it’s white, this means truce.

Always bringing me down, tied yourself to my soul, won’t let me go.

Three strikes and we’re out, there’s nowhere to go now.

No one won. Boy, I want to see the doves, please release my love.

There’s no hope we’re burning down, you set the fire can’t be sorry now.

Surrender, the war is already lost, there is no more cause.

You are just a brick that’s holding me back, making crack.

This isn’t like before the end has long begun,

don’t make me grab the gun, this no longer is any fun.

Just let it fall, you’ll be glad you do; I know you want to surrender too.
