Day 26 – In Death

Day 26- Gather some magazines/catalogs you don’t mind cutting up and spend ten minutes flipping through them looking for words/sentences that spark your interest. Cut out the words as you go, and (at the end of the ten minutes) arrange the words to form a cut-out poem.

Feel my humor rise as you start to tell your next lie.

Timing never seems to be right and I beg you to leave my side.

You kiss me like it’s a joke you’ve reached a new low.

Your heart has darkened to a deep level.

With audacity, you say you want to keep safe my heart.

Don’t try and protect my emotions if you’re tearing my soul apart.

I’m scared of where your morals lie.

You hurt the deepest parts of my world and you don’t even try.

Such a cunning wit fools me to stay.

In the back of my mind, I’m pushing away.

Your concerns are far from what should matter.

I swear to you today there will be tomorrow.
