With the deepest of reflections and the sincerity of hearts,

sometimes words just come apart.

Revealing truths deep inside the soul,

that question the reality of what is whole.

Feelings so real that threaten to tear you apart;

and challenge the beliefs held from the start.

Revelations of loves one hoped weren’t true

and deceptions that with time only grew.

Loves planted so deep in the heart,

loves so beautiful they could be called art.

Loves so hopeless, but so romantic.

Loves so sad but so fantastic,

held together by moments so tragic;

bound forever by the purest of magic.

Sinful Nature

Write a poem about having an affair, or discovering your partner is having one.

It lies in secrets, it’s all alone, nobody knows.

They get the rush of each others breath, it’s easy it’s fresh.

They thrive off the thought they will soon be together,

even though it will never be forever.

Lots of moments full of highs, but they can’t help but cry.

The knowledge of doing something wrong,

Adding third parties to a doubles song.

In the moment it all feels good,

but that also ends, just as it should.

Setting fire to a structure made out of wood.

It catches fire slowly but surely burns fast.

Nothing left were the past once stood.

Left with an empty feeling today, it just won’t fade.

Threw it all away, for an eternal mistake,

Now they lie awake, hoping something will change,

wishing for the good, letting go of the strange.

Russian Roulette

Odds bad right from the start.

Yet we couldn’t be pulled apart.

Tension running high, feelings running low,

Never had anywhere else to go.

This is all we know.

Spin the wheel, watch it go round.

Who’s gonna be unfortunate now?

We play love, like a simple game.

Things go wrong, toss around the blame.

With a loaded gun in hand, ready to aim.

Keep fighting for a prize no one can claim.

It’s a shame our love we couldn’t frame.

No one calls our name.

Nothings filled with color, it’s all the same.

It makes no sense why we’re both so eager.

Who is bigger?

This is an act of vigor.

A clear rigor.

Who will pull the trigger?

Carbon Dioxide

You’re a poison to my mind, an intoxicating gas.

At first its hard to notice how you destroy me.

But slowly I felt the pain.

My heart heavy, my lungs full.

Gasping for an air that never comes.

Destroying my very being but you keep going.

Your path has no mercy, your want and love have no boundaries.

Take me to the lowest places and toss me around.

A sad puppet controlled by an evil person.

You desire to be worshiped.

You run through my veins and I know it’s in vain, your here to stay.

In your presence, I start to slowly slip away,

My thoughts disappearing, my fight running out.

My body drained my mind has fallen,

I’m trying to walk but find myself crawling.

Everything fades away and I know it’s a done game.

In my mind, there is no doubt.

It’s waiting to be let out.

It wants to grow happy and free.

The hope that you care for me.

That you see me as more than a friend.

And I can’t wait till then.

But now I don’t know what you feel or where we stand,

So I guess I’ll just pretend.

Act like if I don’t want to hold your hand.

Or go to concerts by your favorite band.

Feign that your laugh doesn’t make me smile

That our conversations don’t intrigue my brain.

Fool you to think that all I want, is to be your friend.

But when I get there, what then?

I’ll put on the perfect show of what friendship should be.

Until hopefully one day you’ll want me,

And these thoughts can be set free.

Inevitable Future

You never understood the story that my lips would utter.

In the empty spaces of your mind, you could never grasp the meanings of my words.

Dancing around so young and free, this was never meant for me.

I was meant to be loud and destructive.

Leave behind the bad, fight for what is worth it.

I was born to make revolutions, start immense fires.

It’s my duty to change the connection of the wires.

Reroute the mentality of the broken and unwilled, make them feel filled.

I was born to be different, set apart, I was created to make the prideful fall.

I was made to debate and change the world in any small way.

I was born to make a change
