Day 6

Hope; a four letter word to which we give an immense meaning. To have a beginning, to reach an end, to not have to pretend. Hope is a word that comes and goes, that opens you, then keeps you closed. Hope is a lie we all believe, with the conviction that pain will leave. But hope is just a word like many others, it only brings expectations. With luck, those will be fulfilled, but in reality; most likely will never get filled. Hope is one syllable for those trying to build and rebuild.

It’s beautiful, especially the last line. It may just be one syllable, but it may be all you need.

You said maybe that’s all you need. Why so?

In times of despair, a ray of hope is all one needs to get back to his life – which is what I meant when I said, that sometimes all one needs is hope.

Ok that makes sense. Problem with that is that things can go either way, so it can be a double edge sword. Because many people can handle the results of hope when there positive, but when its negative, its another story.

Very true. That makes for another case of revival by hope. Once one has already been let down by hope, it is difficult to hope again. Yet again, this is when hope will help the most, for hope is the light at the end of the tunnel of despair.

So it’s the doorway and exit of despair. Complicated

I love that wonderful metaphor you made. 🙂 Like you said in some stories with a negative end, yes, it becomes the doorway. However, hope also remains the exit from all despair!

Hope, sometimes, is all one has to cling to, and maybe hope will see you through. Very nice 👍

Maybe the problem with hope is that we wish for the wrong thing? As you beautifully put it, we often hope for our pain to go away. But this will never happen for long, because pain is part of life. I’m not trying to be pessimistic, but life is full of struggles.
Perhaps, then, we should hope for the strength to overcome our present challenges. Maybe we should strive for the ability to learn and grow from our pain, rather than for it to simply go away. In this way we might avoid being overwhelmed by our struggles, while simultaneously accepting the fact that we will inevitably face difficult times in life.

Very nice, and long jajajajaj I don’t think its about being pessimistic, rather realistic. Hope is complicated that should be understood. Often times we don’t realize that sometimes no matter how much you hope some things are just not achievable.
