Inquisition

We question the ideas that stumble in our head, the questions that tug at our hearts and keep us up, late in bed. Questions that pulls at our sanity by small threads. Questions that over and over we embed. We ask ourselves the meaning of life, what is wrong and what is right? Only to fight; if the answers we don’t like. We ask questions we don’t want to be responded, yet still ask them, only to put up with the torment. We have questions that we allow to go dormant, only to bring them out when we consider is the right moment. We have so many questions, so we never ask them all, as we create in our minds constant brawls. We ask questions; expecting answers big and small. Preparing ourselves for the rises but not the falls. We call upon others to close the gaps within our minds, only to run away from the things they may find. We tolerate the things that make us aware and later complain if it was truly fair. We fear so many lives that we will probably never live; because of pointless questions that start with if. We live our lives in the future and in the past, traveling so fast; that we don’t stop to notice what we truly have. We question everything that passes through our heads, in hope that we don’t make decisions that one day we will dread. We live life so out of the moment, that life has become less happiness and more a torment.

  1. Sometimes a poem is written so well that it is often spoken to you through your eyes. I feel as if this poem was written just for me very well written. You are also very beautiful, inside and out.

    • Thank you very much for your kind words. I am very glad to hear that this poem spoke to you, the main reason why I write is so others may feel and have someone to identify with. Just as many authors have done for me.
